This work is the centerpiece of an illustration book made by Meilin. In this book, mermaids lure sailors not by their voices, but by their fishtails. A mermaid's tail can be changed into the shape of people's desires. The captured mermaid is locked up with a blind crane, and the whole story revolves around the relationship between the merman and the crane.
