The term "ivory tower" literally refers to a tower made of ivory, but it symbolizes a metaphorical place or atmosphere that is secluded from the rest of the world, where individuals can focus on their intellectual and profound thoughts. People use it to describe living in an unrealistic or isolated place, far from the problems of society.

The Ivory Tower

Ground floor

The first floor is about primitive tribes, representing the first layer of the ivory tower. In this tribe, people live in an isolated environment, preserving their ancient customs and religious beliefs, shielded from modern influences. This part symbolizes a life of freedom and independence, and the entire tribe embodies this ivory tower.

Second floor

I depict the aspect of religious faith, which forms the second layer of the ivory tower. When people immerse themselves in religious beliefs, they set aside their worldly concerns and struggles. During prayer, their hearts are focused solely on the divine. Religion's sacred aura separates them from the hardships of the real world, providing a sanctuary for the soul. This part represents the pursuit of spirituality and transcending the mundane, with religious faith itself becoming part of the ivory tower.

Top Floor

Lastly, I turn to the ivory tower itself, which serves as the topmost layer. These three elements are interconnected, forming an irregular pattern resembling an ivory tower. This ivory tower represents a complete system of thought, an ideal realm isolated from reality, a place where people delve into deep contemplation and satisfy their inner needs.

Together, these layers create a multi-dimensional portrait of the ivory tower, each reflecting different pursuits of freedom, religious faith, and profound thinking. The overall work not only showcases the ivory tower but also presents a unique and profound image, inviting contemplation.
